Congratulations on your web site by the way . . . It fills a much-needed niche.

If I weren't so lazy I'd put it in the virtually unknown SDSUFans home page!

Thank you for all your work this season. I suspect the ALL-MVFC will be very similar to your picks. Your blog seems to give us the coverage that the Argus can no longer do. I like Matt Zimmer and with budget cuts at the Argus, finds himself wearing several hats. So between your blog and Zimmer, we get more information that some of us need. Keep up the good work WestsideRabbit.

I agree with those. I think Strev should definitely be the MVP, POY, etc. because he basically was/is that team. I also think that TC is the better quarterback.

              Re: 2017 All-MVFC Selections

I'd say pretty accurate regarding SDSU players other than Chase Vinatieri not getting first team. Without taking the time to look at stats, I'll defer to Zimmer's comment when he put Chase on his All-MVFC team saying "Chase is the best kicker in the league, and it isn't even close" (or something close to that). Another case could be made for TC getting first team accolades over Streveler but if he's the Offensive POY in the league, that certainly isn't going to happen. I'm just glad TC is a junior and he'll be running the ship next year as well.

Well...to call him the best far and away is a whole lot of homerism at its finest.

UNIs Sam Drysdale led the league in overall scoring and for kickers (88 points, Vinatieri 2nd place with 80, Slattery 7th place with 76). Had a higher field goal made and percentage than the other two. The only area he didn't lead was extra points, where Slattery hit 100% (34-34). Drysdale finished 6th with a 94.9% (37-39) while Vinatieri finished 9th at 92.2% (47-51).

AHEM! most other kickers in the game don't bring what Chase does proof:https://twitter.com/SloSHO/status/935268039456681984

When it comes to list like this certain positions being a senior helps, kicker is one of them, especially when no one completely jumps out with the stats.

I'm glad Jordan Brown made 1st team as I thought he had a great year.

Chase should have gained an advantage over Slattery for performance in the clutch (see overtime vs ISU). I'm guessing missing that many XP's helped do him in.

Agree on Jordan Brown. He has been super impressive. Some of the best DB play I've ever seen by a Jackrabbit. He's really, really, good.
