IUPUI plays UNI and ORU plays Iowa later on,interesting because UNI is on our schedule and so might Iowa,if we win our first game with Montana. Also,Ark Pine Bluff ,also on our schedule got hammered by Ball State, but Ball State is a pretty darn good team.A lot going on ,140+ games on this opening day of the season.

IUPUI falls behind UNI 15 in first half and loses 69-62. They had some spurts in 3rd quarter but could not keep it going.
ORU is behind Iowa 94-76 with a minute to go.

ORU loses another game to a Big 10 team. Today Northwestern wins 64-55. Eagles get down 9 in first quarter and play even after that,
Yotes hold home opener over SFA. The freshmen look fairly solid. The defense turned up the intensity in 2nd quarter and handled the game to the end 80-74 win.

NDSU is really going to have a long year. Was down 11 in the 3rd and still behind in the 4th against an NAIA school. Ugh!

IPFW loses to DIII Trine. They suck. Them, NDSU, and Denver will really pull the league RPI down.

I just recalled, Chris Paul's contract was not renewed at IPFW.

It's just SDSU,USD,IUPUI,ORU that are consistently pretty good teams, except for SDSU,we are alway's the best, not bragging, just facts, and we are nationaly relevent.Next couple teams are mediocre .After that, well lets just say they need to work at getting better. Now,every conference has their bottom dwellers, but ours are pretty bad.Watched USD play on ESPN 3,I was impressed, they are still good, got some good recruits, fogg vastly improved.

It might take awhile for this conference to improve enough not to be a hindrance to maybe getting a couple teams in the NCAA Tournament,if we ever do.I know how hard it is to entice good players to your school, when all they see is how bad you are,it's an uphill battle for sure. That's why I respect and admire the job our coaching staff does in not allowing the program to slip, and keeps it going at a high level. It's far easier to maintain than try and build something from nothing. It is what it is,for now.

Denver loses by 20 to Northern Colorado. NDSU loses to UMass by 12. Mastodons went 1-1 with the D3 schedule so far. All 3 of these teams could be #9 in league this year.

NDSU goes as Thundstadt goes, and tonight she didn't go. The UMass box score was interesting in that they went 1 deep on the bench. 4 players went 37 minutes or more. They are going to be tired by the end of the season.
