  • JAMES PEDERSON LONG TIME CONNECTED TO SDSU passed away.

Jim was very much involved with students when I first enrolled in 1959. I will always remember him for being able to make the other person feel good about themselves. I used to see him at every game going up to the aisle in CAS, but had not seen him since last fall I believe. He spent his last days at the Living Community Center. Here is a link to his obituary:

That's a scholarship deserving of a donation. Jim raised the bar, he was a quality guy in every sense.

Go in Peace James O. Pedersen!

One of the most positive individuals you will meet. Knew him for more than 60 years and never ran into him without a smile on his face. Only the "old guard" will know and miss him, but SDSU is better today because of his talents.

They probably won't name a structure after Jim but his impact at SDSU was enormous and worthy of such consideration. He was such a kind and encouraging soul.
