USD won a fairly close game on their home court after FGCU had an accelerated travel schedule to get there with little prep time for the game.

Neutral court that is a tossup game. I'd be fine with either one of them ranked ahead of the other.

c'mon, they had a full 6 hours after the game before their flight!

This should give the Jackrabbits a good position to begin next preseason at or near the top 5. The Coyotes may have a great recruiting class, but they may not stay in the top 10 with 5 seniors on the move. The coach is still up in the air too. Optimism should be huge for next WBB season in Brookings. We should expect another tough OOC for the Jackrabbits. I should predict an upset in Vermillion next year as the Jackrabbits win in the new arena.

AJ has done a tremendous job and every coach in the P-5 schools knows how good their program is. I just wish the NCAA tourney committee started to recognize it! When SDSU makes the tourney (given their non-conference schedule and success) they should never be lower than a 6 seed. By definition, if you're a top 25 team you shouldn't be lower than 5, but let's assume they are just outside of the top 25...that puts them at 6.
They were a circus shot away from beating Stanford at Stanford. If they win that, they beat Washington and they are in the Final Four! #Respect

USD is receiving votes and they are just outside the Top 25. The WNIT banner did not bring too much into this season for them. IUPUI is also getting votes. Parkinson, head coach at IUPUI, is the Summit representative again this year.

And on a side note,#2 UWGB is coming to Frost this year.There should be some National interest in that game,...wink ,wink ESPN, much like when they sent Graham Hays to cover the Jacks vs Gonzaga game in 2009-20010 ,and the following write up about the game on ESPN that year.

They apparently think Chynna was injured last year. Is it that hard to see that she transferred back to the team after a year at San Diego? It really wouldn't take them that much time to look up that she was completely out of the state for a year.

If we take care of business we should crack the top-25 by mid-November. A handful of teams currently rated 15th or higher will probably pick up a loss by then.

Oklahoma and Louisville are the big chances to take things up to a new level.

True statement. Too bad neither of those are a home matchup. Would have loved to go to one, the Notre dame game last year was so much fun.

Creighton will be a great opening test at home. Saw they were picked 1st in the Big East preseason poll and Marissa Janning was injured last year but is back along with the rest of their starters.
