Only two players since 1994 have averaged at least 25 points and eight rebounds while shooting more than 50 percent on 2s and 40 percent from deep -- Mike Daum and Kevin Durant.

He's with some great company on that list (and ranked higher than I thought he would be.) Can't wait for basketball to begin and bummed I have to miss the tip-off event.

As I type this, only 23 days, 23 hours, 23 minutes, and 11 seconds until the College Basketball Season!

They did another rendition of TJ's Trivia Taxi. Good stuff, love to see TJ's personality. Especially good when he runs across Daum and Flatten @ 4:47.

That's funny stuff, particularly running into Daum and Flatten.

Anyone thought about sending a link to one of the ESPN team?

If they ran with the "Otzelburger" idea initially proposed for Nick's, I will flip.

A new ESPN article on Daum that spends a fair amount of time discussing the grad-transfer option.

                            http://www.espn.com/mens-college-bas...on-make-future

                            A couple quotes from Mike:

"On the [online] forums, people always talk about that," Daum said. "But I'm committed to this program and having someone like Coach [T.J. Otzelberger] here with me, it's easy for me to say I want to stay. And most of that stuff is just me blocking it out again. I really try to ignore all that."

"I can reach my goals and everything from where I'm at here at SDSU, and I take a lot of pride in putting on this SDSU jersey every day because I'm representing everyone at SDSU and why I got there and why I'm there to play," he said. "It's kind of a personal thing for me to just want to help South Dakota State's rep."

I think that he really enjoys TJ's offensive plan.

It has to be "hard" for a guy as talented as Daum. Staying allows him to put up a consistent 25-30 points a game and log lots of playing time or go to a big program with more overall exposure but less playing time? Both have their pros and cons. We, as fans, just need to take advantage of watching him for however long he is in a Jacks uniform. He's already, in my mind, one of the top 5 guys to wear the uniform when you consider all the things he is doing for the program.
-South Dakotan by birth, a Jackrabbit by choice.

Recency bias alert, but I don't understand how he can be anywhere outside of the top 2.
