          Thanks I guess I missed this news item. Not sure how but was totally unaware that this change had taken place.

            I stand corrected. I did not realize that in 1994 the Congress bestowed land-grant status on 16 tribal colleges in the Dakotas and Montana to join Montana State University, North Dakota State University and South Dakota State University.

              I tried without success to see what advantage this move was for the tribes. I would assume they receive funding from the Fed in some form.

                FYI, 4 candidates are being brought to campus next week for interviews and what not. I have no idea who any of the candidates are though.
