Happened in the NDSU game, I would assume it will take more than a week to recover from that. Bailey was suppose to be a real running threat, but he threw some neat passes in the second half in fact marched the distance against the Mighty Bison.

Now I want to rewatch the NDSU vs. UNI game on ESPN3. If the baby doesn't want to sleep tonight, that might be what I do!

AS long as they dont have any shifty or quick backs like johnson was. Guys like that always seem to hurt us.

I watched most of the game on ESPN3 up until the final quarter and then I was off to Brookings to see the Jacks game, but in the second half with the throwing qb out, I thought UNI was cooked, but Bailey showed otherwise. He came from UNL Nebraska so has played at a higher level.

            2014- Lost to YSU.
            2013- Lost to SIU
            2012- Beat YSU
            2011- Beat SIU
            2010- Beat YSU
2009- Beat UNI- Awesome game from what I recall!
2008- Lost to McNeese State in 3 OT, another awesome game even though we ended up on the wrong end.

After going through the schedules, I guess we are 4-3 on Hobo Days as a full-time D1 team, I actually thought it was worse than that.
The 2009 game vs UNI was a fun one. A game I was at. If I remember correctly Thomas O'Brien hit a streaking Glenn Fox down the sideline for a long TD. It was the MVFC game of the week that week too.

Not last year. Johnson only got 8 or 9 touches, which I will never be able to figure out.

Believe you are thinking of Brion Carnes, a transfer from Nebraska who played QB at times for UNI. He faced the Jacks last year and was a running QB.

Bailey is a transfer from Illinois. He seems to be better than Carnes, from what I've seen so far.

Yeah that didnt hurt our chances. Seems like we struggle with UNI over the years anyway. Like we lost to them at home one year and I think a bad USD team went and won on the road. Dont recall what year though.

You are right he is from U of Illinois so says his profile. The ESPN3 guys said Nebraska but they could have said Illinois too, I guess I got that wrong.

I have a recollection that Brown attempted a kick or two.

Pretty sure the holder got kicked off the team after that performance too.

Fact is this game is a must win for N. IA for any chance at the playoffs. It is a must win for us to go 1-0, to keep pace, secure a top 8 seed. Throw in it's Hobo Day and a home game. Needless to say lots of ramnifications tied to this game.

The he sad thing is although the forecast calls for perfect FB weather on Saturday it's supposed to rain both Thursday and Friday night now. Brookings plays Thursday night in what should be the final HS game there this year. Pray they don't tear it up too much. As for Saturday the field should be dry enough provided our "dome"(the crown on the field) does its job.

                            GO JACKS!!!!!

Looks like we have about 3,600 tickets to choose from on the ticket office web site. I could also shop StubHub and other sites to get some. However, I'm looking forward to being in the stands with 15,000+ other Rabbit fans and another 700 or so UNI fans on Saturday.
About 14 of us were going to make the trip but we couldn't find hotel rooms.

Yeah, it sucks that they're all booked. Royal River Casino in Flandreau is a good option for a hotel, just a short drive.
