"Macy Miller could play for anybody in the country. She's an all-league guard in the SEC. And South Dakota State, there's no doubt they could play in our league. They wouldn't finish in the bottom half either." --Jimmy Dykes

A lot of good players in class of 2017 in Minnesota. Love the explosiveness of Trae Berhow. I think we have a shot at him. Shooting Guard or Small Forward. The others on this list may not be attainable.

Jacks are the first D1 program to offer Logan Strom, a 6'8" 230 lbs PF, out of Norfolk, NE according to his twitter account.

Kid looks more like a junior in college than a junior in high school. Very polished for a post that age.

No doubt, very smooth and under control down low and looks like he has a nice mid-range jumper as well. Perfect type of player for our system, kind of reminded me of Fiegen a bit.

Based on highlights by KELOLAND, I am of the opinion that Sioux Falls Christian may be the best high school team in the state. They have taken several Class AA teams to task including SF Roosvelt. I noticed they have two good sized inside players that most people have trouble with. Don't know their names, size or year in high school. I just hope that Coach Nagy and staff have an eye on these guys as they both look like D1 IMO.

Dell Rapids fans would disagree with you 😉. SFC has beaten SFW and OG. Madison has beaten SFR, and Dells has beaten Madison and SFC. Unfortunately...SFC, Madison and Dells are all in the same region, so 2 of the best teams in the state will be left at home come tournament time. One of SFC's bigs (Barkema) has committed to Dordt, if I recall correctly. Their best guard (Van Egdom) has committed to Northwestern.

I guess you told me and thanks for the information. Just a casual follower of high school BB.

One of the scores that I caught was against Harrisburg now ESD and SFC wiped the floor with them. That's what impressed me. You might be right not the best but they are damn good.

Now Dells just needs to get consistent scoring out of someone besides Hoglund.

This kid is very good! A friend of mine is on the coaching staff at Norfolk and he told me last year that Logan had the most talent on the team. Last year's team featured Tyler Hagedorn, Nebraska's 2015 Gatorade POY and current USD Coyote player. Pretty high praise for a kid who was a sophomore.

Actually, Class "A" Basketball is going with a "Sweet 16" or "Super Regional" format... Teams will play in their respective regions as usual. Then the remaining sixteen teams (two per region) will get re-seeded 1-through-16 and play a one-game playoff for a State tournament berth. So it's very possible that two teams out of Region 3A will be playing in Rapid City come State Tournament time.
                      I am Ed. Fear me.

That all happens next year. Also, Madison switches regions next year.

Ah... For some reason, I thought they were doing that THIS season. Especially since this was the first year of the alignment cycle. Why they are only doing it for one year is a head-scratcher. I doubt Madison would get sent to another region next year; regions are usually locked in for two years at a time.

Yup...my bad on that one. I could swear I saw somewhere that Madison was getting moved, but they are staying put for now.
