I think we need to stop thinking that anyone is out of SDSU's reach.

Stop thinking it all you want but it is the reality in the world of recruiting. If a kid gets offered by a school in a Power 5 conference, whether it be football or basketball or any other sport really, there is a very slim chance they are going to stick around and play for SDSU. We aren't there yet and it will be many years before we are. Can we compete against lower FBS schools, yes, but that is where the line is drawn. 18 year old kids want to be able to tell their family and friends they are going to play for the "(insert any Power 5 school's mascot)".

Saw Winkelman play Friday night. Certainly appears to have a college ready body - listed at 6'4 and 225. Dominated at linebacker - good tackler and returned an interception for a TD. Looks he could turn into a pass rushing DE if he puts on some more weight. Played both ways and looked good at TE also. Marshall has an outstanding junior RB, Jefferson Lee V. He had 241 yards and seven TD's, and had a 96 yarder called back.He has 22 TD's in 6 games. Not very big - listed at 5'8 and 185, but has break-away speed and runs hard for his size. I'm sure his size will be a limiting factor for big-time recruiting, but he bears watching.
