Officials must suck more than usual.

Tyler M. said Hanson was trying to miss the second shot,...high arch but it bounced up and went in.

Geo Marshall at the line to shoot two.

            First: in
            74-72 with three seconds left

            Second: good.
            75-72

They miss a long three...that's the game.

Idaho misses a 3 at the buzzer. It banked no good.

Final: SDSU 75, Idaho St. 72.

                Wasn't pretty, but it's a win.

                  Update on the women's game:
                  SDSU 67, UA-LR 40.

Is my memory bad? I thought Little Rock was supposed to be a good team with a much higher RPI than the Jacks. (Edit: UA-LR was ranked #8 Mid-Majors; SDSU was ranked #10 Mid-Majors).

Backed into that one. What was Larson doing?

Was only able to listen to the game, but Devine sure sounded like he had a good game.

Continued to make his presence felt on the defensive end, but this time showing some offense with 13 points on the game. Hope his upward arch continues as the Jacks approach Summit League play.

Nagy: "We just don't understand what it takes to be a good basketball team." He sounds upset, rightfully so after this game. Says they've had bad practices lately and that it leads to this.

"Nobody in the lockeroom is in there enjoying it, and they know we played knuckle headed."

"Deondre just unaggressive tonight, stood around the perimeter all night."

"George also unaggressive tonight, partly due to the zone."

Says he's happy with Marshall's rebounding tonight.

"I'm tired of giving up 15 offensive rebounds, we should be beating them up with our 6'9 and 6'10 guys out there."

"Really pleased with Devine, but some other guys on the bench have to get ready to go. They played soft. They just need to be ready to go."

Nagy is really frustrated. Says the team knew about ISU's two main scorers, but didn't guard them well.

It's these type of wins that offer more teaching moments than losses. If a team feels bad after a win that means that they know they need to work harder. Once the backcourt gets used to their new positions and rotations I think they will improve vastly.

Bottom line...the team won a game they could have easily lost. Move on to Saturday and get better.

We'll probably get a good look at some of the guys that normally stay on the bench the next two nights. Three consecutive games is going to be quite a test - physically and mentally. An OT game is quite a way to start.

Nothing pretty, but the new-looks Jacks are 1-0.
