Summit beating up on the Big Sky today, I like that. Too bad Denver couldn't hold on against Stanford, nice win for ORU though.

The Bison pulled of a good win tonight by defeating Akron by a score of 55-46. NDSU's bench played a total of 7 minutes. NDSU shot 33% (17-51) and 28% from 3 (4-14). Their offense needs a lot of work. Akron had a total of 17 fouls compared to NDSU's 9.

Also ORU got dismantled by #15 Oklahoma tonight. 53-85.

The Bison have a local kid Jacobsen who has made a splash this year, but read in the Fargo Forum this morning that Jacobsen will be out for 2 to 3 weeks, some surgery on his knee. It did not say he would be out for the SDSU game on Jan 4th.

At the moment, the Bison are basically in a 5-man rotation. We should be back to a 6-man rotation after Miller gets over the flu, and a 7-man rotation once AJ's knee is fixed up. Under the silver lining category, having a core group spending this much time in the fire might do great things for teamwork.

They will also need to shoot better than 33% to opposition 30%. It may get tough to win many games at 33%. LA and Brown will get tired before the conference carrying such a load. I see the Werner kid snagged 16 boards including 8 offensive.

Without Miller and AJ our offense is rather limited, they are our two best jump shooters not named LA. Kind of shocked we won last night being so thin but the defense came to play.

USD squeaks one out against the Montana St 55-53. Summit edges Big Sky today as SDSU gets the OT win over Idaho St.

Not the Big East, that is for certain. In the future we should try and schedule the Big Sky instead of DWU, Chadron and SWMU.

3 chances today for the Summit to pick up quality wins.

                                SDSU @ Utah State
                                ORU @ Memphis
IPFW vs. Valpo (good test to see how good IPFW actually is)

also IUPUI is hosting South Alabama
