  • Hobo Day Photos

The wife and myself made the weekend trip down from Aberdeen to properly celebrate two months of marriage and her first Hobo Day. We couldn't help not to bring along our camera gear.

So on Saturday, we shot some photos from the parade, the game and our walk around campus. You can check out the photos from the Parade and Walk here: http://t.co/lpILRv9iu6 and the Hobo Day game here: http://t.co/EXofMEHy0n

    Enjoy!

I don't see any photos with me in them... "you let the whole team down, you let the whole team down!"

There's a TV ad that's been getting a lot of air time, advocating flu shots. The "star" is the "Flu Bug" guy. He's also on billboards across South Dakota. Well, he was in the parade. I wonder how many acting roles are available for viruses?

Wait! Maybe slosho is the Flu Bug?

Slosho made Keloland but Sideline missed him. You guys were only about 1/2 a block apart too although on opposite sides of the street.

We were active movers during the parade. We started out at the Pride performance, moved down by the foundation building, stopped at Bravo's for a parade beer, went down to some friends, back to the foundation building and finished up at Taco John's before walking to the tailgate lot.

I was in front of the foundation and would have made "the blue hat man" proud.

I was a freshman 10 years ago, I don't think I could survive after watching that.

                        - There may have been a game, but little to no video of it
                        - Some significant drinking occurred
                        - Lots of people were having a GREAT time
                        - More drinking occurred
                        - Girls kissing girls was more prevalent than football
                        - Some drinking led to sickness
                        - People really enjoyed drinking
                        - $#@& USD was more of an issue than Youngstown State
                        - A really good time was had by virtually everyone
                        - and I almost forgot, there was drinking and I think a football game

I too would have a hard time making the most of a full Hobo Day celebration at my age.

                          Re: Hobo Day Photos

I went back this year and had a mini reunion with a bunch of college friends. We're all 23-26, so not so old. We took naps from after the game until about 8:30. Needed that. And then when we went down town, we went to a couple of the "slower" bars. For old times' sake, we ended the night at the Lantern. God that place is a big, loveable ****-hole.

I got a hangover watching it. And I drink too much the way it is!

I was a freshman 13 years ago, by the way. I didn't feel too terribly old until watching the video.
