    Re: Missouri Tigers

I can name three right off the top of my head that Stig kept off the field. Moss, Zenner, Sumner.

All three happened in the same year, too.

To Coach Stig's credit, I don't recall seeing anything close to this since then.

I'd also add that, just because it turned out these underclassman (or in Moss's case, less experienced) performed well when given the opportunity doesn't mean it was obvious in practice that they were better than the incumbent. Hindsight is 20/20, after all.

Not sure what happened but the incident before the Cal Poly game and his in game performance was the straw that broke the camels back.
        Incident?

              Which is most important, IMO.

I'll give you TOB. Kool was good. Moss was special.

Thanks for wrecking my night by reminding me of TOB.

I do not. You will have to refresh my memory on Cole Brady.

                      FIFY

He was from Georgia. Kyle Sheehan knew him somehow and let the coaches know. He fell through the cracks somehow from FBS and was looking for somewhere to go. I'm not sure if he waited too long for an offer or if a school over signed, etc. I used to know the details. Anyways, he came up after signing day and visited and signed with State. Great guy too. I actually met him on his visit.

He played four years at CB and returned kicks. I think he went to Jacksonville's camp but got cut pretty early.

Very much aware. Getting his name wrong was why I didn't "remember" him. I'll try to make my sarcasm more obvious in the future.

Stig has made some mistakes in that regard, but more importantly I think he has learned from those mistakes - especially over the last few seasons. We are seeing more and more of the younger guys start if they can perform better than their elders. Learning from those mistakes is going to continue to make him a better coach, and our program will be better because of it.
Oh, I know this one!!!!! You're talking about the guy Stig started as a freshman in SDSU's first playoff game in like a billion years, right?

I'm with Shot, its a myth.
