      USD 7, SDSU 2.

We play Thursday and if we lose, we're out. Opponent will be either WIU or IUPUI.

It does not get any easier for our ladies. The Summit website says we play Fort Wayne at 10:00 AM.

USD has a stud freshman pitcher named Cue. She flat out chucks it and that is the biggest reason they are much better than the Jacks. Coyotes hit it better too but as anyone that played or has girls that play fast pitch knows, a dominant pitcher will win 90 plus percent of the time over great hitters. Cue is from California and a bit undersized as a pitcher, I suspect that is part of the reason she finds herself in Vermillion, SD. Kudos to her, stud.

Correct A dominant pitcher wins 85-95 percent of the time even if the hitters are fantastic. Yes, the harder the pitcher throws the ball, the more power it has coming off of the bat, but a dominant pitcher has the ability to throw the ball to all locations called. She also probably has a decent rise ball, and the rise throws hitters off because it looks like it's coming in fast but really it is coming in slower, and rising up out of the strike zone.
