    Re: Blake Treinen

He's having a great year, currently making 2.2 million (first year arbitration)........ will have at least 2 if not 3 more years of arbitration after this (saw conflicting reports)

Arbitration is where the team can offer you a contract, and then you negotiate a contract or it goes the arbitrator and each team gives a # and the arbitrator decides, most of the time the team/player settle on a contract

      Re: Blake Treinen

He'll have 2 more years of arbitration. And closers get PAID in the arbitration process. He had 16 saves last year and that led to the nice 2.2M payday. If he didn't have the saves he probably would've been in the 1-1.5 range. If he stays healthy and gets a full season worth of saves he'll be looking at 5-6M next year

Currently looks like he is bound to be an All-Star.

So proud of Blake. He was always grateful to SDSU for giving him the opportunity, and when he left, there was plenty of reason to think he was going to make it in MLB. Making SDSU proud of him!

Treinen with 2 scoreless innings, no hits, 3k, and gets the win. 5-1 with 22 saves and 0.80 ERA. He’s an All-Star for sure!

Wish the Cardinals would trade for him. They could use him big time.

He did make the All-Star roster. Not voted in by his peers but selected by the MLB.

Check out this weird walk off the A's gave up while Treinen was pitching. Crazy.

Wow. Please tell me Treinen doesn't get the loss for that.

Green apples with a salt shaker, that's what this farm boy was doing this time of the year. Could not wait until the apples ripen. Digression here. Good luck to Blake in the all star game.
