  • Merriam Family

Tyler and Jill's little boy is going through some scary stuff right now.

Read about their story here: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/josephmerriam (May need to log in).

    Sending good vibes/prayers their way.

Sounds like the Merriams could use a little financial support from us.

All day today Cubbys is donating a portion of all proceeds to help Tyler and Jill Merriam. So, plan on a couple of meals today at Cubbys in Brookings. Free will donations for the Merriam family are being accepted also.

I was at the Doctors office for a 3 month check up. The nurse who did the preliminaries turned out to be Jill Merriam. She noticed a SDSU decal on my shirt and then wanted to know if I was a Jack fan. I said I was and then she started telling about Tyler being the voice of Jacks. According to Jill, their little boy is doing much better and has gotten better meds to control the problem. She was very pleasant to visit with. In addition, Jill said, Tyler has a large library of Vince Scully play by play tapes, that he often listens to. God Bless the Merriams. I plan to send them a gift as I missed the Cubbies day in their honor.

What a terrible feeling for the parents. It’s great to see he’s doing better but still has a way to go. The Merriam family, Joe specifically will be in my prayers. I hadn’t heard this story but will promote it on the Coyote board as well. There are things in life where we are all on the same team. This is one.

See post #6, I cant recall posting this but apparently I did. Jill has since moved on to another nursing opportunity. She was replaced by a NDSU grad, who is equally capable. Her replacement still thinks some bigshot bought all the tickets to keep the bison fans out of Dana last fall. I really get some interesting conversation going with her replacement.

I do miss talking SDSU sports with Jill. I too will keep them in my prayers. Yoteforever is correct, our prayers are needed. The Merrimans are great people.

After this summer and my experience with Mayo Clinic, there is hope for the Merrimans. Those people are indeed skillful in every health condition that exists.

Tyler had a really nice, in-depth interview about his broadcasting journey, etc. w/ Logan Anderson of Say The Damn Score:
