      Re: 2015 Recruiting List

I noticed that Mikey Daniel of Brookings is now up to a 3-star on rivals and ranked as the 5th best fullback in the nation. So, thus far the class of 2015 has a 4-star in Schmidt from Roosie, a 3-star in Reiff from Parkston, and now a 3-star in Daniel from BHS. I still believe that Christion from Roosie will get some stars and offers after this summer and Vinatieri could be looking at a scholarship as a kicker as well if he has a good summer. Next year is going to be crazy loaded in the upper tier of talent in the state. Plus we have Farniok in the class of 2016 that will probably be at least a 4-star as well.

Wow. Some of those hits were painful. If this guy picks it up in his senior year, I'm afraid he will go FBS.

Good job to the coaching staff to find guys like this early. If he ends up on the bubble between FBS/FCS, hopefully our early interest/offer makes the difference. We'll see.

Christion now a 2-star on Rivals. We are the only offer listed.

Reiff is now listed a 2-star.

I've been tied up between work, kids' activities, and voting in the 6th Fan competition. So I apologize for not getting this list up to date earlier. Kudos to Goosie, KU, and many others for sending/posting information.

                        Re: 2015 Recruiting List

I noticed that the coaches appear to be hitting a couple of areas hard, both position wise and geographically. One area that we appear to be going after hard is defensive line. While it would be awesome to get some locals like Reiff, I'd even be thrilled with some like Pfaff and Holtorf. I'm afraid both may be out of our reach.

One kid that I think has incredible potential is Brian Arp from Kearney, NE. Yes, I've seen him play various sports for years because my kids are in the same school district, but the kid is a beast! The photo below is from prior to his junior year when he weighed around 250 lbs. You can see that he does not have his weight around his midsection, it is in his upper and lower body. He is also very nimble on his feet, primarily because he was an exceptional basketball player prior to breaking his foot during his sophomore year. (He broke it while landing after dunking during warmups for basketball.)

Arp was First Team Super State after his junior year as posted by the Omaha World Herald. The other two defensive lineman that were named on that group were seniors. Harrison Phillips is heading to Stanford. Arp's HUDL footage is impressive. In my opinion, there are two reasons he has not recieved more interest from bigger programs at this time - the Kearney program focuses on team first principals which often limits the number of kids that attend some top camps annually, and he likely does not have the drive that Holtorf, from Seward, NE has. Things have come too easy for Arp in sports. While he has always played up a level in youth sports programs, he did not have enough elite kids to push him.
