With all the grumbling I'm hearing about potential increases in season ticket prices, the athletic dept. might need the friends, family and relatives of SD and NW Iowa kids. Deep playoff runs sell more expensive tickets. Regional kids put butts in the seats too.

Good players put butts in seats. Better players put more butts in seats , regardless if they are from northwestern Iowa or northwestern Arizona. Replacing ten players from farther away with ten local players would put what , maybe 100 more fans per game in the seats ? Not worth losing sleep over IMO.

        Re: 2015 Recruiting List

Recruiting goes in cycles in terms of where the kids are from.

There have been times during Stig's tenure that you could have swore Brookings was located in Northwest Iowa, but recently Nebraska and Arizona have been hotter spots for us. Start local and work your way out, but ultimately bring in the best players you can regardless of where they are from.

Anyone who thinks SDSU's coaching staff is ignoring local talent isn't paying very close attention.
If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.

I've updated the list, finally getting Ryan Parenteau on the list of offers.

We've also lost a couple on our offer list who have committed to FBS schools.

Dillon Middlemiss, an OG from Westminster, CO has committed to Colorado.
Daishon Neal, a DE from Omaha Central has committed to the Huskers.

Found another offer according to Rivals.

TE - Matt Pistone, 6'4" 230, Yuma, AZ (Yuma Catholic) - HUDL

According to Rivals, Pistone holds two offers, one from us and another from Oregon State. Athletic TE who runs a 4.80 forty.

Gridiron Arizona reports that NAU and Austin Peay have also made offers.

(Looks like UWMandSDSU beat me to the post.)

A running back to add to the list:

                RB - Kam'Ron Johnson, 5'11" 195, Tempe, AZ - HUDL

Holds an offer from Montana too. Runs a 4.58 forty. He had 1,060 yards rushing and 588 yards receiving last fall. When he touches the ball, he does make things happen as he averaged 9.3 yards/carry and 15.9 yards/reception.

According to Rivals, we have an offer out to another OT from Kearney, MO.

OT - Tanner Owen, 6'6" 248, Kearney, MO - HUDL
                            Offers: Illinois State
I'm curious to see how he really grades out. Rivals lists him at the size above with a 4.9 forty. His HUDL page has him an inch shorter, heavier, and a 5.23 forty. Regardless, he has a big frame and looks like he put on 50 lbs of healthy weight easily.

A week after Reiff commits to Iowa, Grant Schmidt of Roosie's recruitment just took a huge step forward after receiving an offer from The Ohio State, he also has offers from Minnesota, Iowa State, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Wazzu, North Carolina, Utah, Wyo and of course the Jacks. He alludes in the article that this will speed up the offers from all the other big time schools.

Here is the article about his Buckeye offer...http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-s...-buckeye-offer
