Not sure where his shots came from but he was 13/22 (33 points) last night at the Sanford Pentagon with 7 reb, 3 assists and 3 steals.

The outside shot is the question mark on Anim. Over on the Gopher board it is split on whether he is a high-major recruit because of that. Word is that the Gophers are still recruiting , but have not offered.

Very good athlete but not a very good shooter at all. He's a nice player who can get to the rim but a work in progress. Personally, I'd love to see him at SDSU. He could go higher but I believe he'll struggle to compete out of the gate. He plays in AAA in Minnesota so you really can't judge him by his daily stat line as the quality night in and night out in AAA in Mn is pretty weak. Had a nice game this season against Apple Valley but quite frankly, that was more open gym than anything. Fun kid to watch play.

Washington kicks talented 7-footer Robert Upshaw off the team. Has battled drug issues in the past. - Per Jeff Goodman

Would SDSU give him a look? He would be a nice replacement of Larson.

He was projected a 1st round pick but more than likely slide into the 2nd round due to his personal issues if he were to enter the draft.

NEVERMIND, don't want him. The more digging on I did on him, the more personal problems I found. He also got dismissed from Fresno State for violating teams rules.

3rd times a charm ? Seriously is it ? But really though we could use a fast ball handler in this 2015 class. Mainly so Tellinghuisen, Flatten, Severyn etc don't have to try and do it. They can focus more on flat out scoring a la Parks.

A project in more ways than one.

If Bob Huggins was still at Cincy, this kid would have fit right in.

Sounds like he's going to the D League. I think that is a great move. PJ Hairston did that and went first round and Glen Rice Jr did the same thing as well and went 35th overall

Sounds like the first place he should go to is rehab. I don't think either Rice or Hairston had Upshaw's problems. The D-League will give him some cash and a lot of free time , neither of which is what he needs.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, (depend on perspective) SDSU goes after STUDENT-athletes rather than ATHLETES, willing to be students until something better happens.

I'd say that this has been a good role for SDSU. We've built good, to best in mids, teams using this strategy. It takes a kid that wants that education, and plays well opportunity to shine. It makes it tough to land FBS "projects" as not going to get coddled. Cody Larson, out of HS, wasn't a SDSU team mate. After maturing a couple of years, he was ready to make the type of commitment needed.

For those that want only to play basketball, and not get education, then D-League/Europe better than SDSU.

This is the story on PJ Hairston
                              http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebaske...is-career-life

Glen Rice Jr was suspended 3 times in 3 years and was eventually kicked off after an incident involving driving under the influence and discharging a firearm while under the influence where he was charged with permitting unlawful operation
