St. Thomas to Summit / Missouri Valley?

I'm climbing aboard the University of St. Thomas bandwagon. Let's bring them into the Summit and possibly the Missouri Valley. Augie is optional.
Judging from media rumblings in Minnesota, St....

    Re: Augie to the Summit?

There's a complicating factor in assumptions that T. Denny Sanford is an Augie supporter. His girlfriend works in the administration at USF, not Augie. What makes people so sure that he'll be handing...

    Re: Augie to the Summit?

No, I've never been to Macomb. I understand it's a small college town, like Brookings or Vermillion. But it's within a 100 miles of a couple of bigger metro areas. And it's in Illinois, the...

    Re: Augie to the Summit?

Western has been a solid contributor to the conference in multiple sports for longer than SDSU and other schools from the Dakotas. Also, Western expands the national footprint and prospective...

    Re: Augie to the Summit?

Augie to the Summit is the most over-hyped conference story of the past two years. About a dozen Augie officials and supporters, and a half-dozen local sports reporters and broadcasters in Sioux...

    Sticky: Re: 2020 Recruiting List

Wow. Lots of schools were after Brandon. SDSU coaches (and players) are doing a great job attracting high-caliber recruits.

    Re: UMKC IS back

I really don't care if Augie joins the league or not. A re-energized UMKC brings more to the conference than Augie will as the third D-1 team from the poorest and second-smallest state in the league.

Augie isn't a necessary add. Maybe the Big Sky will want them.

    Re: UMKC IS back

Welcome back, KC. Please excuse the lack of advance fanfare. The SoDak sports media has been so preoccupied with Augie that they didn't see you coming.

    Re: Coach Henderson

It sounds like Coach Hendo has filled out his staff with a third assistant coach. I think the newest assistant is a former assistant from Utah State and Southwest Minnesota State.

JackMD has better sources and insight into the team than 99 percent of us. I'd never dismiss anything he says. ... So, the Jacks apparently are looking at Gibbs, Connors and Nelson as their top three...

    Re: 2019-20 Men's Roster

My projected starting lineup might change if Wingett becomes eligible for 2019-2020. But for now I'll stick with my prior guess:
    1 - Brandon Key
    2 - Tray Buchanan
    3 - Alex Ariens
    4 - Doug Wilson...

    Re: 2019-20 Men's Roster

Brandon Key and David Wingett have been added to the Jacks' official roster for 2019-2020. There's still room for a walk-on or two. And we're still short two assistant coaches.

    Re: 2019-20 Men's Roster

The post-Otz roster is taking shape. It actually looks pretty good, and it’s got some depth. By my count, there’s one scholarship available, so a grad transfer could come in and shake things up. But...

    Re: New community college

It's probably time for the state to cut its losses and shut the place down. Six state universities and four tech schools are enough.
