Do we have any idea of what the OOC schedule will look like for next year? Any tournaments?

The return game for Oklahoma is December 6 at Frost. I had heard that the San Juan Shootout was in the works, but there is nothing other than Nebraska is scheduled to play Buffalo and Coastal Carolina. The San Juan Shootout website has no 2017 information and that schedule comes from Husker site.

It is the Puerto Rico Clasico rather than the San Juan Shootout.

Doesn't Louisville come to Frost this year or is that next year?

I don't know, all i said was this is what's released so far,my hunch is yes though,I'm thinking we agreed to a H&H with Louisville and they will complete their obligation this year, until we release our schedule or Louisville releases theirs,or some third party who happens to know (ESPN,etc) reveals the answer, there's no way to know.

The schedule was released today....all I can say is that is how you put together a schedule and a chance for an at-large bid.

It is great to see Creighton, UNI, and GB stay on the OOC schedule. I would guess that Drake and FGCU will arrive in Brookings next year.

That is a brutal run from the middle of November to the middle of December. What would an acceptable non-conference record be? NJIT, Charlotte, and Drake are the "For Sure" victories in my mind. NC State, George Washington, Bowling Green, Wichita State and UNI are the "non-locks but should win" tier. Green Bay and Creighton are the toss up games. It wouldn't surprise me if we split the Louisville (W) and Oklahoma (L) games.

I like it when there is uncertainty in the non-conference schedule. I also like to see quality mid-majors (Creighton, Green Bay, FGCU) year after year.

Drake could be tough at home, last year they were top 25 ranked, beat Iowa, Neb, Wyo , UNI twice, lost to Creighton at Omaha by 3 pts. They lost their best player though (scored 21.9 ppg avg)and one who avg.'d 10.2 ppg. Finished ahead of UWGB,Gonzaga,FGCU,UNI,W. Ill,and us in the final mid-major poll at #2 ,behind only Quinnipiac,Losing their leading scorer tips the hat in our favor though, especially with our leading scorer back.We have a lot of talent and will equate ourselves in all or most of this very tough schedule.

GW,UWGB,NC State,Charlotte (?),UNI,Louisville,Okla,Creighton,Drake,FGCU...tha t is 10 tough games with no gimmies....should handle the other 4 ok.If we can acheive 10-4 OOC with this brutal schedule,I'd be satisfied, anything better will raise some eyebrows, hoping we gel early and hit at least the 10-4 mark.If we can't, I won't panic,we have a lot of talent that will eventually shine through.

Edit:Changed my mind,Charlotte we should win,the reason I feel confident winning against Bowling Green is we play them at home,we already beat them on the road,so beating them again at home should be easier, unless they acquired some stud player or two since then. NJIT is better than when we last played them, but we should handle them. UND and Whichita State we should be mindful of, but both home games for us. New goal 11-3, seems like a daunting task at first sight ,but we have the talent and can do it, but like I said before, I won't get all distraught or bent outta shape if we miss the mark slightly.Would be nice if we can get another win over a top 25 ranked opponent, that seems to garner a lot of respect, but it's not critical if we get enough other wins over very good teams .10-4 would be pretty good, 9-5 respectable ,8-6 and below and they've got some work to do,but should improve if things get corrected and be much tougher later in the season. Have a good season Jacks.
