Regarding the little debate earlier on this thread, I am not picking any sides. We all want the same thing. I was picked apart for saying earlier in the year when the women were not playing well that it could be a season to forget. Both men's and women's BB teams have the support they need, so, we (IMO) should expect more from out of the teams as time goes by. I do, and I won't apologize for it. I'm not knocking any player on any team here, but shouldn't we expect to have a higher quality level of student athlete on average than say 10 years ago, or whatever time frame you want to pick? Don't we want our level or performance and outcomes to be on a upward trend?
Sure, a program should always want to improve. Being excited about potential recruits that could come in and improve the team is great. If you are disparaging a current group, however, that is another thing IMO. Especially if that group has played so well. I just think there are times we might want to appreciate what we have in front of us before we start stating "this guy or that guy" is going to be the savior of a team, or create a "formidable" position, when you have 3 of the best freshman in the whole summit league playing on the team right now.
