SDSU women seventh at final fall meet
LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. -- The South Dakota State University women’s golf team wrapped up its fall season Tuesday with a seventh-place showing at the Kenneth Smith Golf Classic.
Junior Lindsey Brown paced the Jackrabbits by tying for ninth place with a two-day total of 158 (77-81). Kelly Evans finished two shots back at 160 (81-79) to finish in a three-way tie for 13th place.
Other Jackrabbit competitors included: Sarah Lewis, tied for 48th, 181 (90-91); Mandy Hellmann, 58th, 194 (98-96), and Stephanie Lauer, 60th, 205 (101-104).
Eastern Illinois finished atop the 11-team field with a 623 team total. Host Missouri-Kansas City placed second at 626, followed by Northern Colorado at 635. SDSU finished seventh with a 693 team score.
