Congrats Kiley on being named NCAA Division-I Independent Softball Player of the Week. With her help the Jackrabbits completed their first season as a D-I school with a winning record! The Jackrabbits finished the season 30-29. 8)

Schwedhelm earns independent honor
South Dakota State pitcher Kiley Schwedhelm has been selected as this week's Independent Softball Player of the Week.
Schwedhelm, a freshman from Papillion, Neb., went 2-0 with a 0.78 ERA over three pitching appearances last week, including two starts. . . .
For the week, Schwedhelm allowed just 10 hits in 18 innings, striking out six and walking four. Opponents hit only .161 against her. . . .
