INDIANAPOLIS -- The South Dakota State University women's swimming and diving team completed the dual portion of its season Friday night by dropping both ends of a double dual to IUPUI and Saint Louis.

The Jackrabbits fell to 3-10 in duals this season despite some solid performances. SDSU was edged by IUPUI, 60-45, and lost by a 92-19 count to Saint Louis. SLU made it a sweep, downing IUPUI 88-25.

Although SDSU did not win any events, three Jackrabbits claimed individual runner-up finishes and both relay teams earned second-place honors.

Freshman Mallory Onisk posted the first runner-up finish, clocking a time of 59.86 seconds in the 100 butterfly. She added third-place times of 2 minutes, 1.84 seconds in the 200 freestyle and 2:13.07 in the 200 individual medley.

Sophomore Heather Youngberg contributed a second-place finish in the 100 freestyle, 56.34 seconds, and junior Mariah Pavlicek was runner-up in the 100 backstroke, 1:02.81.

Kim Iverson added a third-place effort in the 100 breaststroke, 1:12.15.

The Jackrabbit 200 medley relay team of Pavlicek, Iverson, Chelsea Colborn and Hannah Ferree opened the meet with a runner-up time of 1:57.26. Pavlicek, Ferree, Clair Graff and Youngberg closed out the meet by placing second in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:45.67.

SDSU continues action Feb. 3-4 at the Minnesota Challenge in Minneapolis. The Jackrabbits return to Indianpolis for the Mid-Continent Conference Championships Feb. 16-18.
