Kerstyn Farrell named Offensive Player of the Week
BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State University midfielder Kerstyn Farrell has been named the United Soccer Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts against Northern Iowa and Northern Illinois this past weekend.
Farrell, a sophomore from Littleton, Colo., scored goals in both the Jackrabbits 3-0 victory over Northern Iowa and 3-2 win over Northern Illinois. Against NIU she broke a 2-2 tie with a goal from 25 yards out in the 79th minute.
SDSU, 2-0-0 overall, will travel to Omaha Wednesday, looking to extend its two-game winning streak, when it takes on Creighton University. The Jackrabbits will follow that up by hosting College of Saint Mary (Neb.) Monday at Fishback. Start time for the match against the Flames is set for 1 p.m.
