    Coaches not worried about texting ban
    SDSU men's hoops coach says officials will find their way around it

    South Dakota State recruiting coordinator Luke Meadows made his first foray into text messaging on a September football trip to Northern Iowa. During the drive from Brookings to Sioux Falls, he sent 10 texts to recruits, and by the time the team bus reached Worthington, Minn., nine had garnered responses.

    The story illustrates a point: Texting caught on quickly - and it's being taken away almost as fast, banned recently by the NCAA effective Aug. 1.

    Certainly, recruiting will go on, but without the use of a popular and available tool - theoretically, anyway.
