What happened to Julian Tagg at Big 12’s? He looked terrible at NCAA’s and went 0-2 BBQ

I’m genuinely curious about Berge. He placed 4th his freshman year at 184. Last year he was looking really good and I think he got hurt late in the year. He wrestled at NCAAs but got pretty much dominated on his feet which never happens.

This year he bumped up to 197 and had a big wrap on his leg until about a month ago. He just hasn’t looked anywhere near himself this year. He also looks small for 197.

Can someone who knows wrestling or is in the know explain what is going on with him? Did he bump up because of his injury last year? Or did he struggle to make weight at 184? Is he still slowed by injury?

I think he’s undersized for 197 and doesn’t have the horsepower for it

It seems like the entire team kind of peaked for the Minnesota dual and things have been gradually sliding downhill since.

I do too. Wondering why he bumped up if that is the case.

Bows out just short of the blood round. Overall gotta say this is a bit disappointing.

Tough ending to the season. Here's the summary story from GoJacks.com:

The four remaining Jackrabbit wrestlers' tournament runs at the NCAA Wrestling Championships ended on Saturday as they bowed out during Session 3.

IMHO, too small and I hear other stuff but will not sharing at this time.

He'll get hurt and not even be a starter.

But if he is successful there will be some questions to answer.
