He was a redshirt freshman this year so realistically he probably wouldn’t crack the starting lineup until Berge had a season ending injury for his career

Aaron Nagao - 133lb AA for Minnesota is in the transfer portal. Any shot he would be interested in filling SDSU’s uncertainty at that weight?

People seem to think that he is bound for Penn State, we'll see if the rumors are true.

A guy like that is transferring for NIL. Plain and simple. You can argue Truax wants to get into a more competitive conference (B10), the Ivy kids have to transfer to use their 5th year, Nagao is simply smelling the money. College wrestling is screwed because Iowa and Penn State will buy themselves top 3 lineups every year.

Seth Nevills will announce today. Sounds like it is not SDSU.

Tanner Cook had back surgery at the end of the year so that might explain his late season struggles. Also announced he’s coming back for next year

149 pounder Chance Lamer of Michigan has entered the portal. Lost 3-2 in the blood round. Cal Poly with his brothers is obviously the favorite but he has ties to Brookings….

Clay's cousin Cael Carlson at Minnesota has entered the portal. SDSU has to be a consideration for him.

He's been at 165. He and Cook would probably be pretty close. It would be great to have both of them as options and make opponents prepare for both of them.

Would be nice if they updated 2023/2024 roster on gojacks.com

Anybody have any updates or insight now that we’re closing in on the season?

                                I'll give it a shot.

125: Tanner Jordan / Brandon Meredith
133: Derrick Cardinal / Brandon Meredith
                                141: Clay Carlson
149: Alec Martin / Dan Kimbal / Gabe Tagg / Colin Dupill
                                157: Cael Swensen
                                165: Tanner Cook
                                174: Cade DeVos
184: Bennet Berge / Cade King
                                197: Tanner Sloan
285: Bowen McConnville / Luke Rasmussen

I think that we can get seven or eight national qualifiers out of this line-up and probably three or four All-Americans. If that happens, it's probably good for a top ten to fifteen finish at nationals.
