    Re: ORU--Round 3

Fink is a real piece of work. In the presser afterwards, an Oklahoma reporter asked Kevi about the charge and she said she "begs to differ" with the call. I have a problem with a reporter asking a student athlete to question a call. That was bad enough, but then Fink went on a little whine about a couple of other calls... and to step away from the brink, he finished with, "But we're good losers at Oral Roberts."

    Right. Good losers.

Classy move by ORU Coach to try and kick ball at the end of the game. They have to just be fit to be tied to have play the conference championship up here. Thanks for playing! Have a safe trip home!

Reports are that he also kicked the scoreboard during the game and cracked the DAKTRONICS BOARD! Where do we send that bill?

I think this statement is a rip on a great player in this league and seeing her in person for 3 games, she is a gamer! I thought the whole atmosphere would get to her and maybe it did alittle but it was not near as noticeable as to how we played for about 5 minutes.

Luper and Bingham and the rest of the ORU team played like champions and they deserved everything received in awards etc... Fun game to watch!

I post a album of pictures for people to view!

Centenary has agreed to honor its commitment and play in the Summit next year but that's it. So, 2010-2011 is last year for Centenary.

Is Centenary gone next year? Two more years for the Yotes and they should be a good replacement RPI. Still comes down to the OOC wins though.

ORU is headed to the WNIT and will be a dangerous team if they are motivated (as opposed to Oakland's one-and-done last year). If every team in the Summit League were to fare better (both in scheduling and on the court) in the non-conference portion of the schedule, we should be able to see two or three teams get at-large consideration for the Big Dance every year. Having teams like IUPUI, SUU, and Centenary occupy the RPI basement is quite detrimental to the elite programs in the conference.

I tell you what, those 2 freshman for ORU are good players (I'm sure you didn't need me to tell you that either). The thing that frustrated me the most was the horrible passing the Jacks displayed. Lazy bounce passes, players jumping in the air to make the pass and having no where to go with it, and the telegraphing the passes. Does ORU make the dance too? The teams in the tourney should hope they aren't. Even though I thought #11 should have fouled out in the first half, if they get refs willing to let 'em play a little bit, that defense is really good. Both teams played their arses off tonight and the fans were treated to a great game.

Gotta hand it to Kristen....she had an absolute horrid last 4 min of regulation with turnovers and shot selection, but she never shy'd away from wanting the ball....ends up hitting a key basline runner in OT and gets the key steal and free throw at end of game.

Are the seeds already set per site? If so Williams doesn't match up well for us.

Goodness. For my thoat's sake I am glad that is the only game I have a rooting interest in today.

The last 10 minutes of regulation will take years off a guy's life. It had Montana written all over it. Turnovers and complacent offense, wow. The shot by Rotert with 34 seconds to go off the offensive rebound about killed me.

The Jacks were just lucky ORU came out in OT cold or they would have been cooked. Give them credit. They took a deep breath, did not turn the ball over in OT (after 17 in the second half, ugh) and made FTs.

To be honest, I was more excited last year. This year I am more relieved, even as the 3 seed.

Congratulations to Ketty the birthday girl, Kristen, and tournament MVP Maria. Last year was a tough act to follow and are back again.

Another, of many, great days to be a Jackrabbit.

Now get seeded out west in the Bay Area so I can see a game in person.

    Go Jacks!!!
I vote for the Joyce Center on the campus of Notre Dame.
