Not a clue. African American woman. About Macie's size. Seemed to be smiling a lot. That's about all I could discern from the other side of Weary Wil's Sports Grill. That and the fact that Megan Waytashek looks way, way taller up close than she does on the court.

Doesn't seem to be much noise about the last scholarship available. I believe the coaches are now in a no contact timelime with the NCAA.

There are many reasons a player chooses to go to a JUCO. Not all of them go to play at that level to still get a chance to be seen by D1 schools. I certainly am not privy as to why she went the Juco route, but I would bet it wasn't because she wasn't recruited by D1 schools.

I'll go on a limb and say that as a McDonalds All American, Danielle Adams was totallly on the radar. Read in a KC Star article yesterday that she had academic issues that led her to Juco.

I hope Sam is given a good look. I know people tend to look down on Division III in the NCAA and NJCAA because they aren't given athletic scholarships but to me, that shows how commited they are to getting an education and playing basketball.

I believe a player from Rochester CC (same league as Minnesota West) went to UMKC a few years ago. Don't remember much about her so not sure what kind of impact she had there. If you're getting a Juco player, they need to be able to make an impact right away.

    Ditto.

difficult to say, but, if i had to speculate it would be that Waytashek takes a rs. don't forget Strop---i thought she stepped in and gave the jackrabbits very good minutes.

I must make a correction,Megan Stuart and Mariah Clarin were selected for all-star teams, not all-state teams, sorry for the slip up!
