  • SDSU vs Wisconsin 7pm FB&T Arena SLN/Midco

HC Marisa Moseley starts her 4th season at Wisconsin after leading the team to the WNIT last season which was the first time there since 2022-12. Moseley was an assistant at UConn for 9 years before 3 seasons as HC at Boston College prior to Wisconsin. The Badgers also bring the defensive player of the year from last season. Serah Williams is a 6'4" junior player from Brooklyn NY. She led the Big Ten in blocks while averaging 17+points & 10.7 boards. The Badgers are preseason choice for 14th in conference. They bring back a starting guard 5'4" Porter. Porter was the second leading scorer & rebounder. She also had 4+ assists/game. This should be a great game for the Jackrabbits to continue to gell as a team while in the friendly confines of FB&T Arena. Go Jacks!!

Try to take it at Williams and see if she likes to foul tonight?

The first 2 games she had 7 blocks and 5 fouls total. She averaged 2.6 fouls/game last year. Georgetown turned her over twice while Wright St did not force a turnover. She averaged about 3.5 TO last year. She averaged 23 points and 14 boards in the first 2 home games. The Jackrabbits will need the bigs to wear her down.

Alrighty, looks like the big girls have their work cut out for them. Did she play against us last year in Madison? Can't remember

17 minutes with 5 fouls resulting in 3 rebounds, 4 blocks, 0 assists and 11 points. That was not a great game for her.

I think a steady dose of Brooklyn, Kallie and Mesa will wear her down.

So far the steady dose of Brooklyn working for the Jacks. Up 11-6.

Jacks guards seem to be reluctant to shoot around the basket. Passing up good shots to try and make the perfect pass and turning it over.

Would be up 20 if we weren’t turning it over so much.

Did Brooklyn put up a shot in the entire second quarter ?

Brooklyn has a much better arch on her free throws this year.

Would like to see the Jacks finish stronger at the bucket. We are getting there and then missing the layup.
