AP #21 Cougars come in at 9-1. The current starting 5 has an international flavor. Kosovo, New Zealand, Rwanda, Italy, & Canada are represented. The Cougars were the 5th place pick of the current 12 Pac12 preseason teams. The lone loss is to Green Bay in Cancun. The Cougars average 6.4 blocks/game with 6'6" freshman leading the group with 1.9 blocks as a12 minute sub. The Cougars won the 2023 conference tourney to get the auto NCAA slot for the conference. This should be a good game to kick off the doubleheader. It is also a chance for the Jackrabbits to get another win over a ranked team and 3 consecutive wins since the Gamecocks. Go Jacks!!

First of four really big games. This is the only one on our home floor so would love to see us get a win tonight. Our OOC schedule continues to be such a daunting challenge, especially compared to the rest of the league. Glad AJ never backs down though and challenges our players against these ranked teams night after night.

After the first few minutes it looked like it could get ugly, but the Jacks got their legs back under them and played much better. It's going to be tough to hang with them for 40 minutes with the size and depth that they have.

You know it's egregious when that happens. I've also seldom seen AJ as frustrated as he was after those calls.

Nobody will question the fight of our team this year. Tough loss but the effort was excellent for all 40 minutes. We will be fine in the conference season.
