i've run across this news a couple of times, I've been waiting for it to show up here but it hasn't yet, so I'll tell the news. The WBIT , under the auspices of the NCAA , seems to have taken the initiative to run the women's version of the NIT, it's called the WBIT. The WNIT will still go on, but they've had to shrink it some to a 48 team Tournament. Hats off to Triple Crown Sports for running the WNIT as an alternative Tournament all those years when it was probably less profitable than it is now.
