Schlagel named to honor team

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Shannon Schlagel of South Dakota State is among five players chosen to the All-Division I Independent women’s basketball team.
The senior from Raymond averaged 15.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in SDSU’s 21-7 season.
Also on the first team are Terra Andrews and Kirbria Lewis of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Katie Lorenz of North Dakota State, and Marita Meldere of Longwood University. Andrews was named player of the year.
