Yes, Jacks absolutely dominated the yotes at the end of the D2 era. I think the only 2 losses in the last 12 or 13 years of DII were to teams with Mandy Koupal on them.

"Winner of now five consecutive Summit League post-season crowns, SDSU again got the better of its in-state rivals south on Interstate 29. In what was their 32nd win in the last 35 games over the Coyotes, the Jacks did little to let the gap narrow in the Summit."

USD fought hard and forced us out of our comfort zone but the result was our third win over them this year. They'll be good again next year but the Jacks are not going anywhere. Our sophomore class is pretty amazing and there are nice pieces ahead and behind it. Another championship and NCAA trip should keep the talent coming.
The coaches prior to Chad Lavin did not do a good job and in fact I dont think Chad beat us no more than twice. So that is probably correct.

But Portland State had some academic issues thus forcing them to lose 2 scholarships so Braun and McCaffrey were odd men out. Saul offered Braun a scholarship and McCaffrey a walk-on (with opportunity to earn a scholarship the 2nd year). Braun was a great pick up.
The national team that play's in the Olympics play's much older players and consists of WNBA players,ex -college players,etc....players with much more experience,....Seekamp might make the team in the future, depending how well she ends up playing after her college years are done.

I think we'll wear them out in the second half. Our long range shooting still isn't good, but we should have more opportunities down low. Need to slow down Seekamp some. Keep up the defensive and rebounding intensity.

Yes, I understand as I have worked w/ the Australian National teams in the past. Agree Seekamp does have a chance in the future, she is a good player and will continue to get better.

Both of those calls went against Gabby ,the first one she was inside the arc,the second she was not,one good call, one bad ,50-50,pretty good for Summit ref's....i jest! The game commentaters (sp?) commented that"she had her feet set, looks like a charge to me"I'm surprised she said that because the replay clearly showed Gabby's feet were inside the arc on the first call.ESPN3 keeps their games for about a month under the replay tab.

I'm going to go on the record and say the womens sophomore class (with Waytashek added) is one of the best,if not the best in SDSU women's basketball to date.Just the one class, not talking team.

The one redeeming fact about Gabby is that she was named to the all tourney team. She had been skipped all the way on the regular season honors. The point guard for the regular season champs should have had a minimum of honorable mention. Keep it coming Gabby!

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't know that the arc is for the women as well as the men. This is only the second year it's been around.
