When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important than the name on the back.

wow thought the Jacks did not have a chance the way they shot and the turnovers, I like cherry turnovers, but they didn't give up and fought for the win. like the zone use it more.

every one must be in shock that the Jacks won. thoughts? when the offense is stinking up the place instead of going man to man, or her to her, the Jacks should play zone the way they did the last five minutes of this game just to keep the other team from scoring and providing the chance for some steals and easy points.

The inside game needs to get back on track. In the last two games,Sunnarborg and Lingle look like the confidence in their shots is not great-they seem to just be flinging the ball towards the basket. Part of it is good defense, but they have looked much better than this against tough defenses in the past. The team is also going to have to shoot free throws better - they had to be shooting under 50 % until Young and Eide hit a few at the end. It's good that the defense can help win games, but at some point the offense is going to have to function better.

Just in case people we're wondering the final score (I had to look it up because I was watching Sam Houston State vs. Montana on ESPN):

          64-55 Jacks.
If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.

We need consistency in every area of our offense. Agree with you that our inside game needs to get back on track. According to stats on gojacks.com the shooting % inside seems low. Dietel .441, Lingle .397, Sunnarborg .357, Clarin .292, Stuart .250. It is still relatively early and I expect those shooting percentages to go up during conference season.

Free throw shooting was not good but they did hit their final 9 shots from the line during crunch time. Before that they were 8 of 18. They hit 21 of 56 from the field including 5-15 from beyond the arc. Sunny had another off night hitting only 3-12 from the field, many of which were in close to the bucket. Does Paulch need to shoot more? She was 4 of 8 from the field including 1 of 2 from long range. Ditto for Eide who was 4 of 6 from the field.

Hot shooters should shoot more i agree, but defenses try harder to shut down the players hitting shots ,more so than players missing shots. If you're missing alot, they probably wish you'd take every shot.

When the score was stuck on 41-38 like forever,we were three points behind and we missed four straight free throws,i thought we weren't going to win this game.Give the women credit for not giving up and fighting to win this game despite another less than stellar shooting night.

in the presser after the game the UALR coach was in a much better mood than AJ. AJ looked and talked like he had just lost. Same with Jill and Ashley when they talked. Both were quiet, had the just lost this game look on their faces and didn't sound happy at all. Think everyone needs a break from basketball for a few days to relax. and is TV the only reporter there when these things go on?

How about that zone defense last night? I don't know enough about basketball to know if we did it very well or if UALR just wasn't able to handle it but that is what changed the game in my opinion. It threw UALR's rythum off and helped generate a lot of turnovers. I hope to see a lot more of that in the future.

I thought Palluch and Boever played well. Eide is a very good player when she becomes agressive on the offensive end. Jill did what Jill does. Some really good minutes from Dietel including taking two hard charges.

Not sure what has got Sunnaborg in a funk. She is missing the easy ones that you can normally put in the bank. She's just got to play through it and turn it around. Need to see that smile back on her face.

This was a good way to bounce back after the K-State game. A really soldi second half of ball.
