So your saying a young lady whose dad played sports at SDSU and whose brother has signed a NLI is going to back out of her verbal? I don't remember a verbal committment from this area backing out ever. The only ones I can remember are football recruits.

Please enlighten everyone to your source on this. Or are you just starting a rumor?

I don't think a verbal is binding til they sign the letter of intent, rather, a verbal is a word of honor by both parties, rarely broken.

Verbal is an oral agreement I believe. So not binding if you don't sign the Letter of intent, and then there are all sorts of escape clauses. Not a lawyer, only studied UCC at SDSU in the summer of 1965 plus the Becker CPA Review course covered commerical law. Plus it took several attempts to pass the CPA exam. So dont rely on my word. I know just enough to be very dangerous.

What is the latest update on the 2014 women? I am referring to both verbals and maybe a rumor as well,i.e. Beaner.

If Morgan Beaner from Harrisburg wasn't on SDSU's radar before, I bet she is now! I thought I saw a SDSU coach at their game on Thursday at state? She reminds me so much of Ketty but maybe a little bit taller. She stands out on defense and offense. Harrisburg will be "AA" next year so she will get to play against even tougher competition.

Well, that limb just crashed to the ground!

I believe the men's team has also offered her brother (along with another kid from Pierre) but I believe there was issues with him and/or his teammate being dismissed from their HS team.

I don't know enough about basketball talent to have a comment on whether she is SDSU material or not, but she will competing somewhere in some sport after high school. I think she is the girl that won the national punt, pass, and kick a few years ago.
Riggs High's Sydney Palmer placed second in her age division in the national Punt Pass & Kick finals held in Atlanta Sunday. It was the third time Sydney has won her way to the national competition, and she is a two-time national champion. She has won the Minnesota Vikings regional competition in her respective age groups eight times over the years.

Mitchell paper has Young with 19, Miller with 13, and a tough defense limiting Severyn to 6. Young and Miller combined 10-20 and Severyn was 2-15. According to the article Miller defended Severyn.
