The 2020 season is underway for the Jacks as they beat DePaul 4-1 this morning. The Jacks lost a lot to graduation, but brought in 7 freshman and a couple of transfers. Four freshman were in the starting lineup, including Grace Glanzer at pitcher who may just be the highest ranked recruit in SDSU history across all sports (#23 overall recruit in 2019 class). Glanzer allowed only two hits over 7 innings, with the lone run coming in the 7th. Lenox had a 3 run HR to get the Jacks on the board, and Yoder followed with a solo shot of her own later in the inning. The next game against Murray State will be starting in a few minutes.

They are playing Murray State and trail 1-0 in the fifth inning. As the legend Harry Carey would say after singing “ Take me out to the ball game” Let’s get some runs. A good start against DePaul. I just re-read the above post and the comments about Glanzer are indeed impressive. -
The offense finally showed up after a rough first two weekends. The Jacks went 4-1 this weekend with the only loss coming to #23 Arkansas and are now 8-6 for the season, the best record in the Summit (although NDSU has played a much tougher schedule).Comment
