So I suggest you temper that enthusiasm for "Action" and wait two years when we actually have someone graduating that will open up more scholarships. Because until we have some scholarships to offer, we can't recruit JUCO players.

I'm just trying to get you up to speed on this topic, since you apparently don't know what your talking about. .....NEXT!!!

    Go State!!!
    Go Jacks!!!

I don't necessarily agree/disagree with tattoo, but I'm tired of remarks like "....you only have 20 posts, you don't know anything". This is a public forum and he was stating an opinion, and he's entitled to it. How many posts somebody has, has nothing to do with their intelligence. Some people on this board have over 500 posts (not directed at you NorCal) and I swear they post just to read their own writing.

Just because someone has spoken more doesn't make them more intelligent on the subject.
Now, there are things that packer has missed, like the fact that we have a Juco coming in this year and the fact that we have had, I think, 2 Jucos fail in the last 3 years.

You've missed NorCal's point. He's less concerned about the number of posts and more concerned about the context. To infer that anyone here isn't interested in winning is insulting to say the least. To suggest that the "JUCO route" is the cure is naive. To sell out our current players and coaches by inferring that they wish the "bleeding" to continue is further salt in the wound.

Complaints are just that. Ridiculous comments are something else. Throwing a couple of JUCOs into the mix isn't the solution.

I understand your point and NorCal's. The thought of JUCO's coming in probably makes us all cringe a little, but I'm not about to say getting a couple of JUCO's is naive or not the solution. Nagy himself probably couldn't say with 100% confidence that he knows what the solution is. Next year when we win 15+ games and take the Summit Tourney in SF we can put all of our comments/concerns behind us and get our slippers ready for the Big Dance. It doesn't hurt to be optimistic!

Re: Back to the Runnin' Rabbits?

I went back and read packer's post three times. I still don't see where it states that Juco's are the way to go. He says that he wants some action, the bleeding to stop, that we all know that we are bleeding and to stop it by "JUCO or not."

I guess what I would say is that the number of posts are irrelevant (as has been stated before) and the fact that people can get their information from other places than this message board. His post did not say anything in regards to the current scholarships available and if any inferring was done it was by those that felt they needed to "bring him up to speed."

As for whether or not JUCO players are the answer, I leave that question to Coach Nagy and the staff. My guess is that they think the answer is that it could part of the answer. I mean they have tried it, what, three times already?

              Folks...Goodbye.
I haven't been back on the blog for a few days and just read the responses to my post. No, I guess I haven't posted too many times.
I just go to EVERY GAME and have a few opinions.
I won't post them here anymore.
              See ya.

Packer, I for one, hope you do come back. I appreciate all opinions, even those not popular and even sometimes controversial. I think your post got jumped on undeservedly and I think most people know it...

Wow, a little soft? To each their own. About half the stuff I post on here I expect to catch some flack. Negative rep points are something I take a little pride in. Not everyone is going to agree with everybody else. My suggestion, stick around and stiffen your spine a bit.

Quitting is always an option, not one I would choose but again, to each their own.

Re: Back to the Runnin' Rabbits?

Packer: One person gave his opinion about number of posts and others who commented on the number of posts, defended the right of someone with few posts to voice an opinion. So, you have defenders outnumbering a critic (and it wasn't very serious criticism...it was essentially 'I have a problem with someone with only XX posts stating opinion and not offering solutions') about 5 or 6 to 1.

Relax. Take a day or two off. And jump back in!

The first message board I posted to was a New York Times board in middle of the Clinton-Lewinski affair, maybe 10 years ago. I found out there that more people disagreed than agreed with what you say or how you say it even in the most short or brief message. Here you are among friends, and politics are not allowed, but like the NYT board, not everyone is going to agree with you. My posts ruffle feathers often, so dont give up. Come and say what you feel about SDSU and the basketball program. You are going to get a challenge, but dont let those challenges keep you from sleeping and eating. Its not worth it. We are all Jack experts here, and it would darn boring if we all agreed and kept giving each other high fives and rep points.

                      Your few opinions do count.

I agree. Just because someone has hundreds or thousands of posts, doesn't mean that person is an expert. I'm sure some people like the big numbers but if there isn't anything more to the post that "I agree" "nope" etc., it's just like they post to 'hear themselves talk'. I say stick around and post when you want and as much as you want.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--
