GDT: SDSU vs NDSU 7pm Scheel's Center SLN

The bison are riding an eleven game home winning streak and lead the Summit with a 4-0 record. (The last home loss was to the Jackrabbits on 1/30/2025) Treyson Anderson is also the current Kwik Star Player of the Week. The bison are 340th in SOS on their way to a14-5 season mark. Regardless of those numbers, we should expect a close game to the end in Fargo. Both teams will be tuning up their games for conference play. The Jackrabbits brought some game to the Pios in the 2nd half and I hope that energy returns to Fargo. Today marks the 239th meeting between these teams. Go Jacks!!
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

Honestly, in Brookings I would like the Jackrabbits odds in this game. But in Fargo, it could be tough.

They have been playing well... better than expected, but I don't know what the means anymore with all the roster turnover. Joe has been shooting a bit better lately, I think... at least it feels that way.

Going to have to really defend and rebound tonight to have a chance. It's really amazing that Dave is STILL there, since Dave arrived, we've lost Nagy, and Otz, and Hendo... and Dave is still there, and their fanbase seem to hate him.

Dave does just enough to not get fired and not quite enough that other programs want him.

I've always thought he is a very solid coach. A bit stubborn in the way he plays, but it has worked for him. They have done well in the Summit over the years, SDSU and NDSU are the two squads that are always in the running in the top 4. (well, not always..but the large majority of the time.)

I do not feel like going back to look but I feel like if you go back to say... oh? 2011 ish neither of the Jacks and Bison have finished outside the top 4 more than 2x and unless they reach the postseason totally racked with injuries NOBODY wants to see either team in the SLT

fans think a lot of stuff, often not base on much that is rational. Richmond is still in Fargo because the Ath Dept knows they have a very good coach and they have zero desire to get rid of him. very nearly without fail, his teams play hard and they play disciplined

I remember the IU 81 team which didn't play well, got beat twice by Iowa, and had me lacking a lot of confidence..., then they went on the road and beat Illinois. My head wasn't the only head that was turned by that victory on the road.

I follow an SDSU team in 2026 which hasn't played well, which got beat several times when I thought it shouldn't have happened..., now they are going on the road to North Dakota State. If they win, my head will not be the only head turned.

Last game we didn't look good in the first half. I went to bed and was surprised the next morning when my wife told me we won. They played a good half of basketball but I think they must not know the rules of the game, so I will explain those rules to the team here

No rule exists which says they are not allowed to play two good halves of basketball. This thinking is far to imprecise for my mathematical mind.

If you think of the game as 10 sections of basketball at about four minutes per section, no rule exists which says they are not allowed to play ten good sections of basketball. This is also to imprecise for my mind.

No rule exists which says they cannot play with absolute mental toughness and desire EVERY SHOT..., EVERY PASS FAKE. Just for the record, I don't want to see any half way pass fakes. Put your entire rump into it. No rule exists which says you cannot think every box out is the most important thing in the entire world..., until the next play. No rule says you cannot be strong with the ball.

Play with mental toughness and desire and I will be pleased..., win or lose.

                Go Jacks.

                      0 got 7 isn't a good omen.
Hopefully they'll get that out of their system

NDSU has a good team. Our shots are finally falling though to get us back in it.

Just when I'm about to post that it's not a good idea to sit all the starters at the same time, the bench goes on a 10-0 run.

Their starters are more athletic than ours…by far.

We are getting abused in the paint. Acting like they've never been double teamed in the post before.
