Jackrabbit fans need to develop a wah, wah cry for these guys.

we lost a game to each of these teams, so I will be happy with another chance to beat either one, if we are fortunate to win the rubber game with the Fn hawks

today in our girls game, AJ pulls the starters with over 5:30 remaining- or most of them. I think he left MM on the floor. she was replaced a bit later by Kolbeck.

in the last MBB game tonight, there is a timeout with about 2:30 remaining. tommies up by 25. The Doctor sends at least 3, I think 4 starters back on the floor. Denver really does not look good. not sure how they won 5 of their last 6?? obviously vs us they shot beyond their wildest dreams and we were likely still adjusting a bit to life post Owen, but they dont look good at all.

although I was not rooting for either team, I would say that Dobbs and Barnstable are not difficult to root against. if I saw them walking around with a big rip in the seat of their trousers, I think I would just smile and keep my mouth shut))

may I ask why? just to cheer against USD? I can understand that, but I dont think USD can beat UNO and NDSU minus Moni seems very unlikely to beat them also. despite my thoughts before the tourney, the Mavs should be waiting for whoever comes from the Jacks half of the bracket. (pre Moni injury news, I would have picked the Bison to come out of that half)

I agree USD can beat NDSU without Moni. Actually he was basically their whole offense the second half against the Jacks in Brookings. Huge blow.

NDSU will make it close though. I think they can both give Omaha fits, NDSU with Moni would be the more likely to beat them...

I think we'll be alright in the opening round, unless UND goes bananas behind the 3 point line again.

Second round... St Thomas, we are better than. But... will be tough without Owen.

I don't think Moni played in Fargo recently when USD had their last minute meltdown up there. I could see that game going either way with or without him tomorrow night. I've never felt so much up in the air with a men's tourney. I wouldn't be shocked if a low seed won it and I wouldn't be surprised if Omaha handily won the title as well. Going to be an exciting tournament but more fun if the Jacks are the ones on top.

Tough blow for NDSU. They were a sneaky pick with Moni. Not so much anymore.

NLA/HH podcast said Izzo suspected earlier in the week that it was a broken wrist. Gotta feel for the guy. All that work he did at NSU & to follow it up with a tremendous D1 season where the top hoop people were talking about his stats/efficiency and people speculating about draft stuff

LGR The POY has been held by many Jackrabbits. Since 2016-17 Mike Daum has had 3 POY awards. The next year 2019-20 Doug Wilson won the distinction. Baylor Scheierman won in 2021-22. Zeke Mayo won 2023-24. Max Abmas won 2020-21 & 2022-23. Nate Wolters won in 2012-13 and he should have won the prior year as well. That info is on Page 57 of this year's Summit League $10 program.
