I hope you're right but it seems like every year we talk about the depth we have then a handful of players get the bulk of the minutes.I don't see that changing this year.

As far as the hand-checking rule,i watched an Iowa exhibition game Sunday and Iowa shot 50 free throws. I think the season,at least the beginning is going to be painful to watch.

I think depth could become a forced issue if players get into foul trouble. The coaching staff won't have a choice but to play more guys.

I think its going to be tough to watch in the beginning, but by season's end there will be A LOT of dunks and better offense. Imagine if Blake Griffin played with a no-hand-check rule. Yikes.

I am guessing that the calls will start more in the year but be called less as the season goes on. Late in games and close races for confrence standing I dont think its going to be consitantly called. I might be wrong, but seems like how they call games to start the year if very different to how they are called during the tourneys.

The calls are different in the tournament than regular season. I would not look for the rules to relax in the regular season and conference tourney unless the backlash is very vocal. This attempt to clean up the defense seems to have som.e momentum. If the games get too long, it will be that there are slow learners in the midst. The Dakota Wesleyan game illustrated the hand check is easy to call. This change might have some teeth

Will need to see it called consitantly in all confrences. They acted that way with the carry, so they called all the time early in the year and come late season games and tourney time, it was rarely called.

Just a thought. Why move Carlson to the 2 when Heemstra goes out? If Carlson is in the game, leave him at 1 and plug Broman in at 2. I'm not sure that subbing one player should change everyone's position.

Bittle isn't going to be at point. Broman will back up Carlson. Bittle is moving to 3/2 and playing more on the wing. There won't be much depth early. Devine, Broman and Donlan have never played a minute of college ball. Horstman has had limited time, limited health. Bittle is in a new position. Flatten will redshirt and Severyn might as well. Jacobsen is a nice walk-on but they don't want him eating up many game minutes.

This team should be able to score in bunches. Bigger question will be defending teams with athletic guards, wing players that can create off the dribble. Toughness could be a factor as well. Hoping Larson is willing to bang and that Heemstra has put on a few pounds. It all starts tonight, expecting a Jackrabbit victory.

I read in a couple of TV's posts/tweets/etc... that Donlan has looked really good this off-season.

I know they said that last year he was better than expected, but he red-shirted, so the fans really haven't gotten to see anything.

Holy Smokes...We are throwing out a big lineup out there! Hope they do well tonight.

I believe the only way to get the game is online if you subscribe to the All-Access package.
