Re: NCAA Tourney Press
The Grantland story is very good, occasional profanities and all. It provides an inside look at a good and smoothly operating basketball program. Kudos.

MTV.com on Wolters: http://m.mtv.com/blogs/guycode_post....ck=119-019-001
"Before South Dakota State landed in the tourney, the only people who knew Wolters' name were those paid to pay attention to college hoops. After his Jackrabbits play Michigan today, that will change. Wolters is a pure scorer, who will challenge Trey Burke for 40 minutes. He also looks 12 years old. But don't let that deceive you though. The kid can play."
Once you get to MTV.com, pretty much everyone has weighed in on this game!Leave a comment:

Re: NCAA Tourney Press
One superb article. Even better that it is the front page featured article with Jack Rabbit (and NC A&T Bulldog) gracing the article. My SDSU cap off to a wonder article by our DC 'burbs author.Leave a comment:

Sporting News: http://aol.sportingnews.com/ncaa-bas...edictions-odds
"Line: Michigan -11, Total: 139.5. South Dakota State can play, and if you don't know Jackrabbits guard Nate Wolters yet, you will after he drops 30 on Michigan. We expect a high-scoring affair between these two offensively-gifted clubs, so we have lean on the OVER. We also see SDSU hanging around with a chance to win at the end."
SBnation.com http://www.sbnation.com/college-bask...h-dakota-state
"Nate Wolters is, by all accounts, one of the most intriguing single players in the field of 68, mid-major or otherwise. If you haven't seen him play, it's your responsibility as a basketball fan to tune in when the Jackrabbits play in the Big Dance."

Re: NCAA Tourney Press
Wouldn't know . . . never made it to the top of the rope . . .Like when you climb to the top of the rope in gym class and your hands are sweaty and you wrap your feet as tight as you can to the rope and think, I will just let got of my hands for a quick second and grab back on....you let go quickly then grab the rope even tighter as that tingly feeling hits......like that fun kind of scary?

Re: NCAA Tourney Press
I had this note from a last night from a grandson that attends Marquette!
"Saw today that Michigan State fans are buying South Dakota State gear like crazy to wear after their game. SDSU's apparel sales have gone up 400 percent since their game announcement for State fans to put on over their green for the game tomorrow. Should be a fun atmosphere!"Leave a comment:

Re: NCAA Tourney Press
The difference from last year to this year is that last year, SDSU was a curiosity, a funny little school with a kinda neat nickname.
This year, the media types are taking SDSU seriously as a legitimate tournament team. That's a bit scary, but it's the fun kind of scary.Leave a comment:

Re: NCAA Tourney Press
Was just watching CBS this morning, and they were talking tournament one of the first things mentioned was Nate Wolters and South Dakota State and how they were playing a team that they have an even enough matchup that they could certainly pull the upset. My mother-in-law in Texas called me to as if I had seen it. The funny thing is when they started the segment, I was hoping that they would mention the Jackrabbits and then when it happened a little happy chill went down my spine. This is amazing exposure for the entire university, and to some extent for the state of South Dakota.
Now if these young men can win this game tonight, the exposure level will increase 10-fold. Go Jackrabbits.Leave a comment:

The Argus is awesome today. I had to stop and buy a print copy even though I subscribe to the online edition. There are about five full pages of SDSU coverage.Leave a comment:
