      Re: Alabama

Alabama plays in a tough conference where expectations are high. They always figure if they get to 4th or 5th in the conference; then they will make the NCAA. The Jackrabbits as a mid-major need this win to make some kind of RPI statement since the mid-major schools cannot get hot in conference play later in the season to pad a seed in the tournament. It will be great to see the men come out like they did for the exhibition game and then maintain the intensity. I think the team is ready for the season to begin.

Tailgating starts at 5:30 tonight. Jacks need to play with a purpose as soon as the ball is tipped. Shoot well and play 40 mins of defense and Jacks should win. Should poorly or slack on the defensive end a win will be tough to come by.

Going to be a very tough test. A talented, experienced team at home...who plays some of the better teams in the Nation.

          Looking forward to watching tonight.

It's going to be tough, but I think we take it.

I don't know much about their coach and I know only a little about their program. They are a bubble team almost every year. Bubble teams need a strong OOC schedule on the basis of RPI to hopefully improve their RPI and the chance they will get in, much like a mid major program.

I would like to think Alabama recognized that SDSU is just that kind of team. Now, the task at hand for Bama is to win this game. I think the pressure is firmly applied to them and the Jacks can go in their fairly loose and start the season off with a big bang and a victory over a BCS program. The women have been doing it for awhile now, time for the men to join in .

Can you imagine the amount of chirping there would be Monday morning if the BB men win tonight, the FB team beats NDSU, and the women find 2 wins in Minneapolis and the VB beat NDSU? That would be a holiday! This is a big weekend for the Jackrabbits in big games.
