Ten SDSU Players Earn Academic All-GWFC
Ten South Dakota State University players are among 49 student-athletes selected to the academic all-Great West Football Conference team for 2004.
The inaugural all-academic team was selected by sports information directors, coaches and administrators from the six league members. To be eligible, a player must have a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, including the fall term; be in at least his second year at the member institution (first-year freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible) and must be a starter or key reserve.
The 2004 academic all-Great West Football Conference team includes 18 who earned all-conference honors as players including three from SDSU: linebacker Chris Coauette, wide receiver Brian Janecek and cornerback Hank McCall.
