That would be my guess. He's not the talent that two of his teammates are, but he was productive in a very strong program.

Kearney High School has a strong tradition of producing elite kickers/punters.

Kyle Larson was a punter for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2004-2008 after an All-American year punting for the Huskers.

Brett Maher had tryouts with both the NY Jets and Dallas Cowboys after a stellar career punting for the Huskers a few years ago.

Spencer Lindsay has been a backup kicker for the Huskers the last few years.

Possibly the biggest leg belongs to Josh Gabel who currently kicks for the Iowa Barnstormers. Check out his video where he kicks a 70, 75, and 80 yard field goal while practicing in Kearney earlier this year.

The first catch on his video highlights reminds you of #86!

He actually reminds me of Wieneke from his high school hudl video. Taller and bigger than everyone else on the field and obviously an advanced athlete compared to the typical high school athlete. He doesn't seem to be as fast or as tall (no one can replace Wieneke), but a great catch (see what I did there ) to fill the void the same year Wieneke begins playing on Sundays.
