I compared the situation because it was very very similar and the Jacks don't have to be a better team. They just have to be the better team on that day. Bison might win the majority but that doesn't mean that Bison wil be the better team on Saturday. Do you really think the Giants were better and more talented than the Patriots? No they just were a better than on that day

I do understand why your doing it, I just don't think it applies in this case. It is funny to me how Jack fans make fun of Bison fans for using history and or stats, and your doing just that to try to prove a point. But the odd thing is that your not even using SDSU stats(because of the fact that they have none in this case), your using other teams and leagues info.
Here is how you do it and what makes your theory not work when talking about a game with NDSU. Back to when the DII playoffs started until now, NDSU has played the same team twice in a season eight times(once in the regular season and once in the playoffs). 76,84,85,86,88,90,95,00, and of course this year. Six of those times NDSU has won both games, and the other two times they split. NDSU has never lost a playoff game to someone they played twice which goes without saying that we also have never lost a home playoff game to one either in that scenario.
I could look at the NFL also and probably hand pick teams that make my case for me just like you did, but I think I am more than happy to use a team like NDSU for my example and who are directly linked to the topic. Point of this is not all teams or programs have a tough time like you think and NDSU has proven it over time.

Or maybe your missing the point, being the favored team or the "better" team doesnt mean you will win. you can use stats in your favor if you want but i see it this way. SDSU has never lost to NDSU in the playoffs before......so in theory SDSU wins saturday. Plus its a new season, new playoffs what your history proves is that you had good teams in the past. May the better team win tomorrow......and by better team i mean SDSU

The countdown is nearly complete as we expect the Jackrabbits to be prepared for the upset of the bison. This team is loaded enough to make the advancement past ndsu. We know there will be plenty of spectators watching from Brookings ready for this celebration. Go Jacks!!

Jacks play an effective style of football. It is too bad these two squads had to meet so early. SDSU runs the ball well(obviously no one does it well against the Herd right now), and plays some solid D.

I for one, and feel as though i speak for most Bison fans, we like to see the Jacks do well. I can honestly say I pull for the Jacks every week they aren't playing my boys. Our schools had the balls to both go Division I when everyone laughed at us. Well who is laughing now? SDSU is much better at football than they were in D-II and NDSU is back at the level where we belong, at the top of our respective level due to our commitment to excellence.

SDSU and NDSU match up very interestingly(if thats a word), both run the ball and play defense. They do it differently but the same general idea.

Keep it up! I'd love nothing more than to see NDSU and SDSU rule the conference from now on.

Watched the first half on the big screen at Frost, so only had a 22 mile trip. I am not really feeling butt hurt over this game. Right now the Bison are ahead of us on talent especially on defense. What I notice about your roster is nearly 30 or so Juniors, which includes so many key players who will have one more season, and then will be entering the "real life". Maybe down the road, our chances are better, but the Fablous Fargo Dome and the Team Makers are really shutting us out of a NC. SDSU has stepped up the funding for football, but not enough to make a difference.

Once the indoor facility is in place, then SDSU can start thinking very seriously about a new staduim which I would hope would be domed since, what kind of weather will it be on Dec 8th of this year? Had SDSU won, Wofford would have had to bring their long johns, something they most likely do not possess. I am happy with a nine win season though, and expected a 7-4 season at most. Good luck to the Bison.

First, kudos to the Bison fans in Fargo. You made you guests feel welcome. Sorry i didn't get over to tailgate with TAB. I spent time in tailgate lot with hunting buddies.

Tough game to watch. The Jacks fell behind early giving the Bison opportunity to play ball control on offense and use the defense to stop the SDSU run. Give that defense a lead and IMHO NDSU wins every game going forward.

About all that is left to say is that the Jacks will be back next year, stronger and faster. This is turning into a significant rivalry*.

Congrats on the win Bison fans. You have a great team and I for one Jackrabbit will be cheering for the Bison the balance of the playoffs. Best of luck and bring home another MV conference championship.
