Some of SDSU's "trackrabbits" travelled down to Lincoln, NE for one last meet before conference and broke several school records in the throwing events in the process. Sean Burns, a Junior from Rapid City broke his own record in the weight throw by over a foot and now leads the Summit League by some 14 inches. On the women's side, Sara Ackman, a senior from Grove City, MN broke the school record in the shot put by about 2 1/2ft and also broke the weight throw record giving her conference bests in both events. It seems that the throwers have adjusted to first year coach Ben Baird's system as they have had some impressive performances thus far.
