Yeah I am signed up also. I should of said that in my previous post. I was just wondering if anyone else on here was signed up. I am signed up for 4 sessions.

I signed up about a month ago, and am down to help out 6 out of 8 sessions. I received an email last week letting me know what my duties were. In the email they said all of the positions were filled with additional people "on call" if someone were not able to make their shift.

I spoke with the Sioux Falls Sports Authority today and they have the volunteer positions filled, other than a couple opportunities for groups/organizations to fill a couple roles.

The Sioux Empire Staters is looking for help in filling one of the spots, if you are interested in more info, PM me.

EDIT: not sure on who is volunteering, per your question

Another question, since the tourney is in the Arena, will there be beer sales?

It seems that I remember from last year that the Cheerleaders from all of the shcools and perhaps the pep bands from most come to the tournament.

    Ugh . . . I hope not . . .

On a brighter note, the SDSU women have now clinched at least a #2 seed in the upcoming conference tournament . . .

I would love to hear them make a rockin' arrangement of Ring the Bells!

Are you messin' or serious about them playing?

I'm with you there. That's one butt-ugly court. There are companies that rent courts, but I imagine that's beyond the SF Sports Authority budget for the event. More likely, as propar80 said, they'll do what they can to pretty the thing up. But it'll still look bad.

I'm just as concerned about lighting. The Arena is very dark. It'll look awful on TV, and even more awful if ESPN2 broadcasts the championship game(s) in HD. HD requires a lot of light.
